Service Description and Message Content

By providing your mobile telephone number to Regional Management, Inc. (“RMI”), and opting in to receive text messages, you expressly consent to receive recurring SMS and MMS text messages from RMI at the mobile number you provided. These messages may include, without limitation, rent reminders, payment confirmations, maintenance communications, lease-related notices, account notifications, scheduling updates, service announcements, and other property management–related communications.

Consent to Receive Messages

You represent and warrant that you are the authorized user of the mobile number provided and that you have authority to consent to receive text messages at that number. You agree to promptly notify RMI if your mobile number changes or if you no longer have authority to receive or no longer wish to receive messages at the number provided. RMI shall not be liable for any text messages sent to a mobile number that has been reassigned or is otherwise no longer under your control.  Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of leasing property, making payments, or receiving services from RMI.

Message frequency will vary depending on your account activity and communications needs. Standard message and data rates may apply to any messages sent to you from RMI and to RMI from you. You are solely responsible for any fees charged by your mobile carrier. RMI does not guarantee that text messages will be delivered and is not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages.

Opt-Out

You may opt out of receiving text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message received. After you send STOP, you may receive one additional message confirming your opt-out. For assistance, you may reply HELP or contact RMI directly through the contact information listed at the bottom of the Terms. Opting out of text messaging may impact your ability to receive timely notices regarding your tenancy, including maintenance scheduling or payment confirmations.

Privacy

All information collected in connection with the text messaging program, including your mobile number and message content, will be handled in accordance with RMI’s Privacy Policy. In the event of a data breach involving personal information, RMI will provide notification in accordance with applicable Maryland and Federal law.

CTIA Compliance

Our service complies with CTIA guidelines, report any concerns to us using the contact information below.

Changes to Terms

In the event that these Terms of Service are updated, we will notify you of any material changes to these Terms.  Your continued participation in the text messaging program after any changes constitutes your acceptance of those changes.

Termination

RMI reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate its text messaging program at any time without notice.

Governing Law

These SMS Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Maryland and the United States of America.
